My name is Simon. I am a citizen of Australia and a native speaker of English. I am a certified TESOL English teacher and  have a great passion for the English language.When I was sixteen years old, I went on exchange to Japan for ten months. While there I lived with a Japanese host family and went to a high school in Saitama prefecture. During my stay, I made many great friends, have fond memories of my experiences in Japan and I was also able to learn the Japanese language to a conversational level. That is why I have decided to revisit Japan and gain a fresh perspective of this amazing country.I completed my TESOL certificate from Teach International (Sydney, Australia) , with electives in Teaching English to Children and Teaching English to Adults.

I am young, fun, and energetic with a great sense of humour. I am very patient, tolerant and never patronising of students as I know from experience how at times confusing learning a second language can be, because of this I am keen to make sure the students are engaged, involved and willing to do their best.  Having been in the environment of a Japanese classroom for ten months when I was in my teens, I have gained the knowledge of how a Japanese class room or student may differ to that of an Australian background. For me, this would be an amazing opportunity as I love to travel and immerse myself in other cultures, and I have a particular fondness for Japanese culture. My hobbies are music, film and literature, which are interests I'll be able to incorporate into the classroom.
