Pros and cons
The reasons for and against it; the good and the bad aspects
何かに賛成したり反対したりする理由。良い面と悪い面。
賛否、是非、可否という肯定的意見と否定的意見を問う際に使う表現ですので、討論や会議の際に覚えておくと便利な表現です。
語源はラテン語で賛成（for）を意味する prō と反対 （ against ） を意味する contrā のcon から来ています。
必ず複数形で使われますので、pro and con とすると間違いです。また発音にも注意が必要です。
ラテン語的に言わず、直接英語で fors and againsts とする場合もあります。
