Liquidate
Process of dissolving a company.
会社を解体する過程。
今回とりあげるLiquidate は、会社や事業を清算するという意味で、全体的に「減らす・消す」というイメージで、殺すいう意味もあります。
Liquidator というと清算人という意味になります。

パートナーシップを解消する。
"With the company taking on so much debt, the board of directors though it would be best to liquidate the company."
多額の負債を抱えている会社について、取締役会は会社を解体するのがベストだろうと考えた。
