Hello! My name is Colin Smith and I would love to be your English teacher! I am a native English speaker from California and I have a lot of teaching experience. I was a tutor at a high school in my hometown. All the kids that I taught were kids that were having trouble in their classes so they were sent to the program that I worked in. It was a very gratifying experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also have experience about a year of teaching guitar. I gave lessons to friends and family and at one point I had some younger kids that I would teach.
I also have a lot of experience with foreign English speakers because of my college. During college I worked as a language partner for non-native English speakers. When I was with my language partner I would teach her English and she would teach me Japanese. It helped me to improve my communication skills and also helped me to improve my English teaching skills.
It takes a lot of patience to be able to teach with efficiency and luckily for me patience is one of my strongest points. If you want a teacher that will patiently work with you and create a comfortable learning environment than I think I would make a great choice.
